Drip irrigation distributes water drop by drop at your given desired place just above the roots of each plant. Drip irrigation prevents water loss as water is provided drop by drop just at the point where the plant is present. It waters the plant throughout the day by supplying less water at regular intervals.

Sprinkler irrigation moves around in circles or in the same path. Sprinkler irrigation is a process in which a nozzle is attached to the pipe to spread water showers over an area. It may have a higher loss of water compared to a drip system. Sprinkler irrigation supplies water once or twice a day but supplies a huge volume at a time.
